Anastasia Skobkareva, MA, TLLP is a master’s level psychologist who is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in child clinical psychology at the University of Windsor. Anastasia provides both in-depth testing and therapy services at Monarch Behavioral Health. She works primarily with children and adolescents, as well as their families, to address a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, difficulties at school, behavioral/emotional difficulties, trauma, anger management, and family conflict. Anastasia also provides diagnostic testing and treatment for neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, Learning Disorders such as Dyslexia and Dysgraphia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other developmental delays. Anastasia primarily utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment, integrating other evidence-based interventions when needed. Her approach to providing services is to create a comfortable environment in which learning and exploration can take place. Anastasia’s approach to therapy includes weekly communication and parent support. She ensures parents have the strategies to support their child’s positive emotional and behavioral growth. Anastasia is directly supervised by Dr. Julie Braciszewski as well as other doctoral-level clinical psychologists at Monarch Behavioral Health.
In pursuing her doctorate, Anastasia earned her master’s degree in child clinical psychology from the University of Windsor. Anastasia’s graduate research has focused on aggression and self-esteem, as well as cyberbullying experiences and their impact on long-term mental health outcomes. She has also spent her graduate career conducting in-depth psychological evaluations with individuals between the ages of 2 and 18. Before graduate school, Anastasia received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. During this time, she worked with at-risk youth and witnessed first-hand the impact of mental health among this population. Through a wide range of clinical practice and research experience, Anastasia has developed an integrative approach that she brings to all areas of psychological services.
