Courtney Zullo, MA, LLPC is a highly skilled and compassionate therapist who utilizes research-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help individuals address their relationship and mental health challenges. She works with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on adolescent, adult, family, and couple’s therapy. She has experience in treating a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, mood disorders, life stress and transitions, family conflict, underachievement, relationship conflict and disconnection, grief, and loss. Courtney provides a safe, supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental environment in which clients can begin to clarify goals, sort out response patterns, learn communication and emotion regulation skills, and improve relationship functioning. Courtney understands that anxiety, mood, and relationship difficulties are complex and can interfere with all levels of functioning in a person’s life. Relating, connecting, feeling accepted and loved, as well as returning that love to others, are central to the human experience. Courtney helps couples heal current and past wounds, as well as address maladaptive communication and relationship patterns. Courtney finds helping families and couples grow together and gain control of their future incredibly rewarding. She works collaboratively with clients to set concrete goals, and attain the strategies and skills to work toward those goals and live at full potential. Courtney is also dedicated to community engagement and advocacy work, providing mental health programming at schools and businesses across Metro Detroit.

Courtney received her Master of Arts in Mental Health and School Counseling from Oakland University. She went on to complete her internship at the Oakland Counseling Center and Henry Ford II High School and has continued to gain experience in both in-home and outpatient mental health contexts. Courtney is a limited licensed counselor, working under the direct supervision of Dr. Julie Braciszewski, PhD, LP.
